Savanah Soto and boyfriend found dead in Texas

The young woman was nine months pregnant. She disappeared just days before her due date.

The Leon Valley Police in Texas reported the discovery of the body of Savannah Nicole Soto, an 18-year-old Hispanic girl. Likewise, it was learned that Soto was planning to attend a medical appointment to give birth just days later. Soto was nine months pregnant and the baby was also presumed dead. Authorities explained that Soto was found with her boyfriend and both had gunshot wounds.

The Leon Valley Police maintained that they will be working in coordination with the San Antonio Police Department to advance the investigations. "SAPD [San Antonio Police Department] will be taking over the investigation as the crime scene is located within the City of San Antonio. LVPD will continue to work with SAPD with any information leading up to the discovery," the Leon Valley Police Department said in a statement.

Despite the statement, authorities indicated that they expect the forensic examination to be carried out.

The Leon Valley Police Department said an investigation has been launched into Soto's disappearance. "The Leon Valley Police Department has initiated an investigation into her disappearance. Detectives and officers are actively investigating and seeking additional witnesses and information," police said.

Authorities detailed that Soto's body was found next to that of her boyfriend, identified as Michael Guerra. During a press conference, the police explained that they are exploring the possibility of foul play. "It is a possible murder, but we don't know for sure," said the police chief in statements reported by Telemundo.
