Report: Border Patrol to increase daily number of immigrants released to bring "detention numbers to manageable levels"

An email from a senior official made public by the Florida attorney general establishes daily quotas of illegals to be released on US soil in the face of "the unprecedented avalanche of migrants entering the country."

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody released an email in which a senior Border Patrol official orders his agents to follow a quota for the departure of immigrants from detention centers to bring "the numbers of detainees to manageable levels." Moody denounced that the Biden Administration "intentionally orchestrates the border crisis" as it "cuts resources, opens the border, and then releases detainees while claiming there is not enough detention capacity to prevent the unprecedented flood of migrants entering the country."

"The rate of daily encounters continues to exceed daily bookouts"

As revealed by Moody's Office, on August 8, the acting deputy chief of the Customs and Border Protection Service emailed the new targets. The email was written after a phone conversation with Border Patrol officials on the ground about the "in-custody numbers."

At this meeting, CBP leaders warned that "the rate of daily encounters continues to exceed daily permanent departures and detainee numbers continue to rise, creating significant risks for agents and detainees. This level of apprehensions has also led to increased manpower needs, which has impacted border security efforts."

Border Patrol calls for new quotas to be implemented as soon as possible

With the current figures, the person in charge proposes new "daily bookouts targets" by sector "to reduce the number of detainees to manageable levels," based on 7-day averages and recommends that they be applied as soon as possible.

The officer stressed: “we respectfully request that you urgently use these bookout targets to formalize your daily processing pathway plans, to include transitioning to NTA/OR when consequence pathways are not sufficient”.

"Intentional destruction of our border with Mexico"

In a statement, Florida's attorney general harshly charged President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for "the intentional destruction of our border with Mexico":

Biden and Mayorkas have become so brazen that they are now implementing mass-release quotas for immigrants surging into our country. As a federal judge already recognized, these releases are unlawful, yet the Biden administration is ordering Border Patrol to release even more immigrants into the interior. This latest email is further proof of the disastrous cycle created by Biden’s intentional destruction of our border with Mexico. Biden cuts resources, opens the border, and then releases detainees while claiming there is not enough detention capacity to prevent the unprecedented flood of migrants entering the country because of his terrible policies. With every passing day it is becoming more obvious that the border crisis is being intentionally orchestrated by the Biden administration. We will continue to do everything in our power to push back and let the American people know of Biden's devious plan.
