One in five Americans who voted by mail in 2020 admits they committed voter fraud

After knowing the results, Donald Trump asks to take action "now" because "our country is being stolen."

A survey by Rasmussen Reports and The Heartland Institute found that one in five mail-in voters in the 2020 election acknowledge they committed election fraud. According to the survey, 21% of people who exercised their right to elect president through the postal service or by absentee indicated that they filled out a ballot, in whole or in part, on behalf of a friend or family member, such as a wife, husband or child. As if that were not enough, 8% of all those with the right to vote in the US admitted that they had been offered money or rewards in exchange for voting. After hearing the report, Donald Trump asked Republicans to "make a move now" because "our country is being stolen."

30% of Americans voted by mail in 2020

According to data collected by both entities, 8% of the 160 million people eligible to vote in the presidential elections indicated that a family member, a friend, or an organization, even a political party, had offered them money or rewards in exchange for their vote.

The study also shows that 30% of respondents indicated that they voted by mail in this election. Additionally, 19% of them acknowledged that a family member or friend filled out their ballot on their behalf. Another type of electoral fraud that came to light in the survey is that 17% of those who used the postal service to elect the tenant of the White House on that occasion sent their ballot to a state where they were no longer held their permanent residence.

Fraud has no party

The survey allows us to observe that electoral fraud in the vote is not something exclusive or majority of any of the two major parties, but that the number of Democratic or Republican sympathizers who admitted cheating is similar. Specifically, 19% of Republicans, 16% of Democrats and 17% of independents who voted by mail, filled out or placed the ballot in the envelope on behalf of a third person.

Trump: "This is the biggest story of the year"

One of the protagonists of these elections, former President Trump, who was defeated in the election by Joe Biden, exploded on his Truth Social account after the survey was published and called on Republicans to take action since "our country is being stolen."

This is the biggest story of the year, and Republicans need to do something about it. Don't be Mitch McConnell and his gang of RINOS. Have to make a move now. Get tough, get smart. Our country is being stolen!

The director of the Socialism Research Center at the Heartland Institute, Justin Haskins , was also very critical:

The results of this survey are nothing short of stunning. For the past three years, Americans have repeatedly been told that the 2020 election was the most secure in history. But if this poll’s findings are reflective of reality, the exact opposite is true. This conclusion isn’t based on conspiracy theories or suspect evidence, but rather from the responses made directly by the voters themselves.
