A few hours after former President Donald Trump reported that he was formally charged in the case of classified documents found in his home, Twitter CEO Elon Musk decided to make his opinion public.
The billionaire used his social network to comment that the Justice Department's decision could affect the American public's confidence in the country's justice system.
Elon Musk also commented that, in his opinion, the accusations against Trump have a political background and that everything indicates a "far higher" interest in persecuting Donald Trump compared to other political personalities.
"There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics. Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust," he said.

The mogul wrote his comment in response to a post by Alex Lorusso, executive producer of "The Benny Show," who, in turn, responded to Musk that the fact that intelligence agencies have been pursuing the former president since 2015 "speaks volumes." "If the regime is relentlessly pursuing someone, it tells you everything you need to know," he added.
It is worth noting that Donald Trump is currently the favorite Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election. In fact, when the former president made public the new accusation against him, he insisted that it was all about "electoral interference."

"I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former president of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the history of our country and is currently leading, by far, all candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in polls of the 2024 presidential election," Trump expressed.
