Joe Biden claims GOP investigation of his son Hunter is "almost comedy"

"How many times are you going to try to impeach Biden?" the president scoffed, referring to Republican representatives who promised to open a commission to investigate his family's business dealings.

President Joe Biden was absolutely unconcerned about the commission of inquiry that Republican representatives announced they would launch should they win control of the House. The commission's goal would be to investigate Hunter Biden's business dealings with China. In a jocular tone, Biden called it "almost a travesty" and advised conservative members of Congress to move on.

Asked if he was concerned that a likely Republican victory in the House would prompt an investigation into his family's business dealings, Biden expressed disdain. "'Best of luck in your senior year,' as my coach used to say. Look, I think the American public want us to move on and get things done for them" he replied without losing his smile.

It was reported — whether it's accurate or not, I'm not sure — but it was reported many times that Republicans were saying, and the former president said, 'How many times are you going to impeach Biden?' You know, impeachment proceedings against, I mean, I think the American people will look at all of that for what it is. It's just almost comedy. I mean, it's — but, you know, look, I can't control what they're going to do. All I can do is continue to try to make life better for the American people.

President may be "compromised" by son's business dealings

A group of Republican representatives, led by James Comer, announced their intention to open a commission of inquiry into Hunter Biden's business dealings in China, Russia and Ukraine. According to Comer, they have evidence that could "compromise" the president and demanded that the State Department of the Treasury provide them with the "suspicious foreign business transactions" that were reported by U.S. banks.

We're not investigating Hunter Biden for political reasons. We're investigating Hunter Biden because we believe he's a national security threat, who we fear has compromised Joe Biden.
