France: Police shoot and wound a woman in the Paris metro who threatened to attack while shouting 'Allahu Akbar'

The woman threatened to 'blow herself up.' She is currently listed in "serious" condition in a hospital.

At a train station in Paris (France), a woman - who threatened to blow herself up inside the facility - was shot by the country's anti-terrorist police this Tuesday.

The woman - who was apparently wearing a hijab - had worrying attitudes that generated suspicions of a possible terrorist attack amongst bystanders. According to the website ActuForcesdeLordre (supporting the French police): "Witnesses claimed that the woman shouted 'Allahu Akbar' and threatened to 'blow herself up' before reaching the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand."

The agents responded to the call and moved to the facility, established a security perimeter and searched for the suspect to arrest her. The woman reportedly refused to comply with the officers' commands, so the officers shot her. The media report that her health condition is listed as "serious" due to the gunshot wound she received in the abdomen.

Intervention in the Paris metro: The suspect, neutralized by gunfire, is in serious condition. He was threatening to blow up the facility.

The French journalist, Clément Lanot, narrated the events on his X account (formerly Twitter). One of the posts is a video showing armed police entering the subway:

Major police operation in #Paris on the BNF metro.  Apparently, one person said she wanted to "blow everything up," which sparked a mass movement.

Lanot continued revealing the details of the event: Police operation in the BNF: "Blows were heard in the neighborhood. The police opened fire several times in the direction of the woman, who was wounded in the abdomen and was evacuated by the firefighters":

The ACTU assured that after the police intervention, "the bomb disposal team visited the site and confirmed that no explosive or dangerous object had been discovered."

The event occurs at a time when France is one of the countries suffering the greatest tension in Europe due to the war caused by Hamas terrorists against Israel.
