The media outlet recalled that Lanata had experienced several similar situations in the past. La Nación explained that "he had already been hospitalized in April of this year for four days at the Favaloro clinic due to a respiratory difficulty."

"The health of the host of Periodismo Para Todos (eltrece) was a cause for concern every time he had to be admitted to a sanatorium due to his risk factors, increased by type 2 diabetes and smoking that accompanied him for a good part of his life: In 2015 he received a kidney transplant with a novel method on the continent, and in 2021 he had to undergo a scheduled angioplasty, where a stent was placed in his leg," the Argentine newspaper indicated.

Some of his most renowned programs include Día D and Periodismo Para Todos (PPT), in which he dealt with corruption cases and controversial political issues. He was also the author of several books, such as Argentinosand 26 personas para salvar al mundo.
