Ukrainian militia spokesman threatens to hunt down "Russian propagandists" around the world
The controversial former journalist says the trial of a Chilean-American reporter detained for defending Russia's views is just the beginning.
The spokesperson for the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, said in a video that "Russian propagandists will be hunted" all over the world. The former American journalist was referring to the trial that Chilean-American reporter Gonzalo Lira faces next week in Ukraine accused of "justifying Russian aggression, denying/glorifying Russian war crimes and undermining the leadership and Defense Forces of Ukraine."
"Pay for their crimes"
In the statement, the spokesman predicted that "the teeth of Russian demons will grind" watching as a "Kremlin propagandist pays for his crimes."
Despite having U.S. citizenship, the Biden Administration has not made any moves in favor of Lira. Even though the reporter may face a lengthy sentence in a Ukrainian jail, the State Department refuses to answer questions about the case, Zero Hedge reports.
