The fire that caused where it passes through Los Angeles was intentional. Gavin Newsom, governor of California, confirmed to the media that it has already been determined "what started the fire" without specifying what caused it.

However, the governor of California did not want to give many more details, although he did clarify that investigators' efforts are now focusing on finding if there were one or more people who perpetrated the fire, since the preliminary investigation found that the fire was set with "malicious intent."

In his appearance, Newsom again stated that they are making available all possible resources to accelerate the repair of Interstate 10 and, thus, prevent it from affecting the city and the more than 300,000 users who travel on the road daily for a long period of time.

The fire originated last Saturday in two abandoned warehouses that were located under one of the Interstate 10 bridges. Dozens of homeless people lived inside. The fire caused serious structural damage, both to the bridge pillars and its base, which has led to the indefinite closure of the road.
