Chaos broke out at a skateboarding event in Hollywood when people set several trash cans and a vehicle on fire. The incident occurred Saturday night in the 1600 block of North Cherokee in Los Angeles and police declared it an "unlawful assembly" and ordered people to leave.

The information was reported by the Los Angeles Times, which said that the situation took place around 7:00 p.m. Similarly, police reported that several attendees set several trash cans and a car on fire before setting off fireworks.

Some photos were shared on social media showing people skateboarding near the flames. Some photos even show the police helicopter landing near the scene.

According to the Los Angeles Times, no one was arrested. "It’s not clear why the gathering — dubbed Skate Jam Hollywood — turned so chaotic, but a social media post advertised Saturday night’s event as an 'awesome' free show by the punk band Dead City. The California-based band has a history of fiery and raucous street shows that sometimes attract thousands of fans and end in clashes with police," reported the Los Angeles Times.
