'He'll never let you down': Trump urges voters to support Paxton to consolidate conservative control in Texas

President Donald Trump issued a strong endorsement for the current Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton, in his bid to become the state's next U.S. senator.

In a message addressed to Texas voters, the Republican leader described Paxton as a loyal and hardworking public servant, positioning him as one of the most prominent attorneys general in the country for his direct fight against the policies of the outgoing federal administration.

Trump urged the conservative base to mobilize ahead of the November election to ensure Paxton's victory, emphasizing that his track record has been focused on strengthening public safety, promoting economic prosperity and safeguarding individual rights against the onslaught of the progressive agenda.

"He has defended our southern border from the Obama and Biden invasions, which were disasters; he stood with our police and law enforcement better than any attorney general in the country, and fought tirelessly to protect the people of Texas from the lunatics of the radical left and the attacks they are so happy to carry out," Trump said.

A direct contrast in governance models

During his remarks, the former president drew a stark contrast between Paxton's candidacy and the political platform of Paxton's rival, James Talarico. Trump severely criticized the progressive candidate's positions on economic, energy and cultural issues, noting that Talarico's proposals pose a direct threat to the region's key industries.

The president warned that Talarico's potential election to the Senate would harm the state's energy sector by supporting restrictive climate regulations. "If Talarico is elected to the Senate, he would vote to abolish the Texas oil and gas industry with the Green New Scam," Trump said.

The statement also questioned the Democratic candidate's stance on social and cultural issues, noting his alignment with initiatives of the radical left such as the participation of men in women's sports and policies on gender ideology.

Trump concluded his message by calling on Texas citizens to turn out en masse at the polls to reaffirm Paxton's leadership, assuring them that the attorney general will maintain a firm stance in defense of the borders, lower prices and public order.

"Go out and vote for Ken Paxton for the U.S. Senate. He won't let you down. He's never let me down," he emphasized.
