Renowned commentator Steve Cortes accompanied a Venezuelan immigrant as he tried to enter the Democratic Convention. However, the attempts were unsuccessful due to event security asking for a credential in order to enter the venue.

Following the situation, Cortes criticized Kamala Harris for the level of security at the Democratic Convention while there is a crisis at the borders due to the open door policies of the Democratic administration.

"The Democrats, of course, want open borders and want an endless stream of illegal migrants pouring into the United States. This is my new acquaintance, Edwin," Cortes said at the start of the video.

Cortes and the immigrant made several attempts to get through the convention gates. In fact, Cortes asked how Edwin could get a credential to enter the event where the country's leading left-wing political figures gathered.

"He’s a migrant from Venezuela. We figured that they would love to have a migrant from Venezuela come in. ... You mean he needs credentials and permission to come in and get past the wall? It's like a border wall in a way, huh?" Cortes told event staff.

Cortes criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’ management of the border crisis.

"Kamala Harris has an open border. You're allowed in America. You're not allowed into her party," Cortes concluded.
