Nancy Pelosi announces that the new interim speaker has "kicked" her from her office on Capitol Hill
The Democrat denounced that Patrick McHenry asked her to leave the office to which she was assigned when she was leader of the House before Wednesday.
Nancy Pelosi assured that the new Republican interim speaker has "kicked her out" of her office on Capitol Hill. The former Democratic leader of the House denounced that Republican Patrick McHenry, the new acting speaker, had asked her to leave "immediately" the office she had been assigned until now.
A notification that, she assured, came to her through an email to which Politico obtained access and that says the following: "The Speaker pro tempore is going to re-assign H-132 for office use of the speaker. Please vacate the space tomorrow, the room will be re-keyed.” As McHenry explained, that office belongs to the speaker and, therefore, Pelosi cannot occupy it.
The Democrat, for her part, assured that "kicking her out" of her office in the Capitol should not be the new speaker's priority, since the new leader of the House, should have other issues to address first, as she explained in statements reported by NBC:

Furthermore, she explained, the order to immediately vacate the office could not come at a worse time since, she explained, she is currently in California for the tribute to the recently deceased Dianne Feinstein and that prevents her from collecting her objects personally :
Finally, Pelosi criticized McHenry's decision, not because of the importance that the office may have for her but because, she assured, "this eviction is a sharp departure from tradition":
