Donald Trump made changes on Thursday in his legal team for his legal battle in Georgia. The changes involve Drew Finding, the head of his lawyers in the case against prosecutor Willis. They arrive shortly before the former president is scheduled to turn himself in at the Fulton County Jail.

Steven Sadow is set to replace Finding on the former president's legal team. According to CNN, Sadow submitted the necessary paperwork to represent Trump on Tuesday. CNN Sources assured that the change did not occur because of Finding's performance in the Georgia case. Sadow has earned a very good reputation in the industry.

“I have been retained to represent President Trump in the Fulton County, Georgia case. The president should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him,” Sadow said in a statement picked up by CNN. “We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open minded jury finding the president not guilty. Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the president have no place in our justice system,” Sadow concluded.

Trial date

District Attorney Fani Willis proposed Oct. 23 as the date for the first part of Trump's trial. This Thursday, the date was announced through a brief filed with the Superior Court of Fulton County. For now, the former president's lawyers have rejected the date set by Fani.
