Donald Trump announces he will be arrested on Thursday
He will appear in court in Fulton, Georgia, to be officially booked and post the $200,000 bond.
Former President, Donald Trump, will surrender himself this Thursday at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia, on charges related to an alleged attempt to illegally overturn the 2020 election.
Trump, who had until Friday to appear in court, made his position on turning himself in known through a Truth Social post on Monday.
Donald Trump will thus surrender to justice one day after the GOP presidential primary debate has taken place on Fox News, which he refused to attend.
Trump's announcement came after it was learned that the former president's bail in the Fulton County case was set at $200,000. The most expensive charge is the alleged racketeering violation, set at $80,000. For the other twelve offenses Trump faces, the former president must pay $10,000.
