Donald Trump may have a running mate in the event he wins the Republican primaries and the presidential elections. Gov. Kristi Noem told Sean Hannity in an interview on Fox News that she would consider taking on the vice presidency if the former president returns to the White House:

I will tell you that, of course, I would consider it. I think everyone should consider it. Our country is breaking right in front of our very eyes today, and everybody should be a part of putting it back on its foundation. And if President Trump is going to be back in the White House, I'd do all I can to help him be successful.

Noem's remarks come just weeks before Trump visits South Dakota where he will attend the Republican Party's Monumental Leaders Rally as a special guest. The event will be held on September 8 in Rapid City.

The South Dakota Republican Party has already shown its support for Trump. State GOP leader John Wiik praised the former president's achievements at the Monumental Leaders Rally:

Our Monumental Leaders rally just got 45 times better as we look forward to hearing from the original America First leader, President Donald Trump. President Trump accomplished so much for our country during his time in office. As the leading presidential candidate, he can inspire our Republican Party to even greater heights.
