Hundreds of left-wing activists stormed the Texas Capitol to protest the passage of a bill that will ban sex change treatments for minors. The protesters succeeded in stopping the legislative session and confronted the police, who ended up expelling them from the building and arresting at least one person. Democratic lawmakers took advantage of the turmoil to implement a regulatory ploy that will delay a vote on the rule.

Shouts and banners from trans activists to stop the session

The radicals gained access to the gallery, where they began shouting and displaying banners against the Republican legislators' proposal, thereby preventing the session from continuing. The Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, Dade Phelan, called them to order, but the protests continued in the same tone, so the state police officers had to intervene to evict them.

Democrats resort to a ploy to stall the rule

The assailants, led by LGBT activists and advocates, called through social networks to their supporters to join the assault. After the interruption, Democratic lawmakers raised a point of order, a regulatory ploy, with which they succeeded in getting the SB14 bill referred back to committee and therefore, processing could not continue on the same day. It took the committee members barely two hours to refer the rule back for a vote.

One year without access to the sanction capitol

This is not an isolated event, this has been the fourth break-in at the Capitol in the last month, and messages from the organizers suggest that they will continue to use this tactic. The activist named Sofia, has reportedly been banned from entering the legislative building for one year for her participation in the riots.

Trans activists clashes with the police

Following the eviction from the gallery, some of the assailants physically confronted state agents, who proceeded to arrest one person and expel the rest from the Capitol's boundaries.
