Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is suing Maricopa County to force it to release documents about all the election irregularities. This is only the first step in a legal action through which he wants to challenge the elections in the state.

So Kari Lake does not concede victory to the Democratic candidate, Katie Hobbs. But Arizona's current governor, Republican Doug Ducey, has congratulated him on his victory. And he announces that he is launching the transfer of power:

Today I congratulated Governor-elect Katie Hobbs on her victory in a very close race and offered her my full cooperation as she prepares to assume leadership of the State of Arizona. My administration will work to make this transition as smooth and seamless as possible.

Ducey's remarks come after Kari Lake announced the filing of a lawsuit against the handling of the ballots.

Conflict of interest

Kari Lake has said, in statements to Just the News:

It would be very coincidental that so many errors occurred on election day. And it has been seen how many of the people who run our elections have completely denied that we have problems with our elections. They want to call people election deniers. They denied that we had any problems with the 2020 election, and they never fixed anything. The man running elections in Maricopa County, a man by the name of Steven Richer, started a PAC last July to stop America First candidates like me. He was actually running a PAC putting money to candidates to defeat people like me, and others, who were concerned about the integrity of the election. And he admitted it. This is outrageous. This is to speak of a conflict of interest. And he is running the county election. My opponent, Katie Hobbs, is running the state election. This is a complete scandal at all levels. And there's so much evidence out there, we don't even know where to start. This is going to be a lawsuit that I think will shock the world.

Lake has posted a tweet telling the story about Steven Richer:

Informants in the complaint

On the other hand, and in statements to Newsmax, Lake said that

What they did on Election Day to punish Election Day voters is outrageous, and we have learned that 85% of those who worked at the polls that day said they have no confidence in the elections, in the way they were conducted. There were three-hour queues, 62% of the equipment and polling stations were either inoperative or not functioning at all. They knew that election day was when our voters were turning out and, in my opinion, they intentionally set the machinery in motion to make sure it was a disaster day as far as the election was concerned.

And it warns:

We have whistleblowers who will come forward. We have inside information about how this was handled, what was going on behind the scenes. What they did with our sacred vow is unforgivable..
