The White House made public that the Biden's paid $169,820 in taxes (23.8% tax rate), so their net income in 2022 was $409,694. The tax rate applied to them in 2021 was 24.6%.
The president and first lady paid $137,658 in federal income taxes and $29,023 in Delaware state taxes. An amount that is supplemented by the $3,139 in taxes paid by Jill Biden in Virginia for having worked as a teacher. In addition, they donated $20,180 to 20 different charities, including the Beau Biden Foundation.

The White House also released the 2022 federal tax returns of Kamala Harris and Douglas Emhoff. The vice president and second gentleman reported gross income of $456,918. In 2021 they reported $1,655,563 in gross income.
Harris and Emhoff paid $93,570 in federal income taxes (a 20.5% tax rate), to which must be added a further $17,612 which they paid in California state taxes and $9,697 paid by the second gentleman in the District of Columbia. They donated $23,000 to charity.
