Bukele, Donalds, Gabbard, Posobiec and more: highlights of the first day of CPAC

Voz Media's top-notch team broadcasts all the details from the world's most important conservative conference.

The Conservative Political Action Conference, better known by its acronym, CPAC, had its opening day on February 22. During the event, Voz Media was present with its entire U.S. team making use of its own television studio.

The day was marked by great moments, including speeches by Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, one of the stars of the day; Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL); former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who is on Trump's short list of possible vice presidents; renowned conservative politician and author Ben Carson; and former U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss.

In addition, some conservative commentators, such as journalist Jack Posobiec, scientist Robert W Malone, and presenter Steve Bannon, who spoke exclusively with Voz Media, also stood out.

Byron Donalds, who was charged with giving the opening speech of the general session, sent a message to the Hispanic community ahead of the 2024 elections in exclusive comments to Voz Media.

"It's without question that when Donald Trump was president, our country was in a better place," said Donalds.

Salvadoran President Bukele, one of the prominent Hispanic figures who participated in the event, also spoke to Voz Media after his speech and referred to the mistreatment received by the Biden administration in recent years.

"We have always been willing to work with the United States, but I think we are not within the priorities of this administration," said Bukele, who also stressed that diplomatic relations with the White House under the Trump administration were "better."

There were several highlights to Bukele's speech, among them when he announced the death of globalism in El Salvador while being cheered by the crowd: "They say globalism comes to die at CPAC. I am here to tell you that in El Salvador, it's already dead."

Another of the evening's big moments came from Tulsi Gabbard, who was quick to shower former President Trump with praise amid rumors of his potential vice presidential run: "I've met a lot of strong and tough people in my life. I can't think of a single one who could not only withstand all that they're throwing at Donald Trump without crumbling."
