At least three people were killed Monday in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, and eight others were injured following a shooting. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the attack occurred just hours before midnight.

It took place in the vicinity of 3400 Horne Street, where a street party known as ComoFest was taking place with a large number of attendees. The attack occurred just hours before the official start of the Fourth of July, but there appears to be no connection between the shooting and the national holiday.

According to police, several of the injured were transported to hospitals in the area by private vehicles, while others were taken by emergency services. One of the victims died on the spot and two others succumbed to their injuries.

Authorities did not provide any information about the condition of the injured. Of the 11 victims, all but one person were adults. It is not known if this minor is one of the deceased.

At this time, Fort Worth Police have not made any arrests. The department asked that anyone with information regarding the shooting contact the homicide unit at 817-392-4330.

"If anyone has personal videos during the time of the shooting or events leading up to the shooting they are asked to contact police," Fort Worth Police officials added.

This shooting is the third since the weekend. On Saturday night, there was an attack in Baltimore, also targeting a street party, and one more took place in Philadelphia on Monday.
