Texas police authorities are making progress in their investigation into the deaths of Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra, a young couple who were expecting a baby together. According to the Police, there are two suspects being sought by the authorities.

Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra were found by police officers in a parking lot in San Antonio, with gunshot wounds to the head that caused their deaths. At first, a murder suicide at the hands of Matthew was a hypothesis which gave weight to the investigation.

However, the latest investigations indicate that two suspects could be involved in the death of the couple, who were expecting to give birth the day after their death. No weapons or phones were found at the crime scene, however, the content of several surveillance cameras at the scene show how a suspect drove Savanah Soto's Kia with the lights off, through the parking lot to approach another black utility vehicle.

From what can be seen on the cameras, a large man gets out of the dark vehicle, opens the door of Savanah Soto's Kia and exchanges a few words with the second driver. After this, they both go in opposite directions.

War criminal history

If the investigations also point to a fatal attack by Soto, it is because of his criminal history. According to The New York Post, which cites court records and Savanah Soto's family, Guerra had mistreated Soto on several occasions.

"He used to abuse her and I told him to get out of the relationship, but she... she was hard-headed, she didn't listen. But I think this time she was going to leave him. That's what I heard," said Gloria Cordova, Soto's mother to local television KENS5.

According to the New York Post, Guerra was on parole for an assault against Soto the previous year.
