One dead and two wounded in shooting at Lakewood Church in Texas

The incident occurred during a Spanish service at the megachurch. The shooter was killed and a five-year-old boy who was with her was injured.

Authorities reported that they responded to a shooting on the premises of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. According to information from the authorities, the incident occurred during a Spanish service when a woman walked into the megachurch and began firing. Two off-duty officers responded to the attack.

The woman was killed and a five-year-old child who was with her was injured.

Similarly, a 57-year-old man was also injured in the incident. Police Chief Troy Finner blamed the woman and claimed that she endangered the safety of the child. The suspect claimed that she had a bomb. However, the authorities checked but did not find any explosives.

Meanwhile, the renowned pastor of the church, Joel Osteen, posted a statement on social media about what happened. He thanked law enforcement for their quick response.

"Our community is devastated by today's events and grateful for the swift actions of law enforcement. May the healing hands of God touch the lives of everyone involved and provide comfort during this difficult time," Osteen wrote on his Instagram account.
