Tina Descovich, the co-founder of Moms for Liberty, spoke out about statements Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) made against her organization, accusing it of being an extremist "hate group" like the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).
In accordance with the statements of the co-founder of the parents' rights organization, what is really fostering hatred is trying to put Moms for Liberty on par with neo-Nazi groups, as the false label leads to the mothers who are part of the group becoming targets. In fact, Descovich said that since SPLC issued its report, her group has already received dangerous messages and death threats.
The parents' rights advocate explained that this is not the first time SPLC has made such comments and put members of organizations at risk. Descovich recalled that in 2012 a terrorist grabbed a gun and broke into the office of the pro-life group Family Research Council after SPLC labeled them a hate group as well.

"They need to be stopped"
Descovich spoke of the importance of stopping the SPLC because, in her opinion, they are the ones who really foment hatred by targeting groups to possibly censor them. "The group hijacks meetings, preventing officials and parents from conducting their normal proceedings," she told Todd Piro, highlighting that the far-left group often invokes government entities and other businesses to silence those who do not hold their same ideology.
"We recently found out that the Biden administration has met with Southern Poverty Law Center six times in recent months. They tried last year to use the DOJ and the FBI to give a threat tag to parents that were showing up. Our members were called by the FBI after speaking at school board meetings, believe it or not, and now they're meeting with the Southern Poverty Law Center leading up to the date that they announce and add us to their hate map," she said, stressing that the leftist group "need to be stopped."

"They're not going to stop us"
Despite the risks posed by the power SPLC has, Descovich assured that the mothers who make up her group are "warriors," which is why they will continue with their work to defend children. "This hate map is not going to stop us," she asserted.
