Microsoft has made a huge coup in the war for artificial intelligence leadership. The CEO of the company founded by Bill Gates, Satya Nadella, announced the hiring of Sam Altman just two days after his departure from OpenAI. The signing was made public when pressure increased from shareholders and investors of the company that created ChatGP for Altman to return to head the company. With this move, Nadella tries to secure the multi-million dollar investment invested by Microsoft in the collaboration agreement with OpenAI.

Altman and his followers, leading a new advanced AI research team
As announced by Nadella, Altman will lead alongside Greg Brockman - former president and co-founder of OpenAI, who resigned after Altman's dismissal - an advanced AI research team. "We’re extremely excited to share the news that Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, together with colleagues, will be joining Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team. We look forward to moving quickly to provide them with the resources needed for their success," the CEO of the technology giant wrote in his X account.
Both confirmed the news through the networks, with the message "the mission continues." Brockman even announced who will be part of this group initially, along with the two of them. They are Jakub Pachocki, former research director at OpenAI, and two other high-level researchers at the firm, Szymon Sidor and Aleksander Madry, who also resigned from their positions following Altman's abrupt departure.
