Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has filed resolution HR 1362 to impeach President Joe Biden. In a one-minute video posted on herTwitter account, Taylor Greene explained that she is taking this step due to Biden selling oil reserves to other countries. The fact is that the strategic oil reserve is at its lowest level since 1984, having fallen to 434.1 million barrels.
No President should be selling the American people's oil to our enemies.

A "national emergency crisis"
The representative said in the video:
I just introduced this articles of impeachment on President Joe Biden. Joe Biden is selling our strategic petroleum reserves. This should never happen. He is draining our reserves and selling our oil, America’s oil, to foreign countries; and China is a top buyer. China is our enemy, they are not our friend. They are buying America’s oil.
The strategic petroleum reserve is our emergency supply for if something goes wrong in this country. It is now down to 134 million barrels of oil. That is nearly half of what it was when President Trump left office. This is an outrage. This is completely wrong, and no President should be doing this to the American people. It’s going to create a national emergency crisis, and that’s exactly what President Joe Biden is doing. This is the number HR 1362. Impeach Joe Biden.
The resolution's text says:
Impeaching Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States, for endangering, compromising, and undermining the energy security of the United States by selling oil from the United States' Strategic Petroleum Reserve to foreign nations.
The article echoes several reports showing that some of the stock sold abroad is destined for China and India. She adds that these countries do not need oil from the United States, "since both Asian nations import oil from Russia." It also affects the increase in gasoline prices, and the effect it has on inflation in the United States.
Why would he do that?
Why would President Joe Biden risk making such a compromising decision by selling a portion of strategic reserves to an enemy country at a time when the price of gasoline was at an all-time high? Lawrence Kadish asked the same question:
One might wonder, now that the mid-term congressional elections are approaching and the price of gasoline has skyrocketed to five dollars a gallon, whether the White House made such a strategic decision based on political criteria rather than on what is in the best interest of our nation's security. China is among the big bidders for our oil reserves.
Part of the answer may lie in the fact that the Chinese company that bought the oil was hired by the president's son, Hunter Biden, as a lobbyist. However, this explanation is not necessary since the Biden Administration's policy has always been to sell to the highest bidder.
