The judge in the Trump vs. Carroll case threatens to imprison Alina Habba, the former president's lawyer

The warning came after the judge did not allow the attorney to present evidence in her client's defense.

The judge overseeing the Donald Trump vs. E. Jean Carroll case threatened to imprison Alina Habba, the Republican presidential candidate's lawyer. "Ms. Habba, you are on the verge of spending some time in the lockup. Sit down!" he said, according to media outlets such as the New York Post.

The warning came after the judge did not authorize Habba to show evidence to enhance Trump's defense.

During the hearing, Trump left the room while Roberta Kaplan, Carroll's lawyer, presented one of her arguments. She stated that the former president should comply with the law and compensate her client for defamation.
