France: At least one student killed and three injured in a knife attack at a high school

An AFP source reported that a high school student killed one of his classmates and wounded three others with a knife Thursday at a school in Nantes, France. At the moment, no details were given on the sex or age of the victims.
The events occurred at around 12:30 p.m. local time. A student, armed with a knife, attacked four of his classmates and was then brought under control by teaching staff, according to initial information from the investigation.
The perpetrator is a student at the secondary school who, for reasons still unknown, entered two classrooms and attacked the victims, the source added.
Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau and Education Minister Élisabeth Borne indicated on X that they would visit the school.
