North Korea will expand its weapons reach in 2024 to confront the "reckless moves" that the United States is undertaking. This was guaranteed by the supreme leader of the Asian country, Kim Jong Un, while accusing Washington of making certain decisions regarding defense with the aim of "invading" its territory.

"Because of reckless moves by the enemies to invade us, it is a fait accompli that a war can break out at any time on the Korean peninsula," Kim Jong Un said in statements broadcast by North Korea's public news agency KCNA and reported by Reuters. "If we look closely at the confrontational military actions by the enemy forces... the word 'war' has become a realistic reality and not an abstract concept."

In addition, the North Korean leader noted that these improvements would serve to "suppress any types of provocations by the enemies at a stroke."

Within the weapons development that North Korea will carry out, three new spy satellites will be launched, military drones will be built, the Army will be provided with new submarines for its fleet or efforts will be applied to improve electronic capacity to open another avenue of attack.

It is also foreseeable that it will boost its nuclear reach after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an organization integrated into the United Nations (UN) structure, reported that they have high suspicions that the North Korean regime has activated a second reactor.
