One of the victims was confirmed to be a student. It is not yet known how many shooters there were, but authorities report that there were two muzzle flashes.
Oklahoma police reported that at least four people were injured at a shooting at a football game between Choctaw High School and Del City High School. One off-duty police officer reportedly fired his weapon.
The number of shooters is still unknown, although police have a description of a suspect who fled the scene after the incident. In addition, authorities indicated that there were two muzzle flashes at the scene. No arrests have been made so far. “Del City officers were at the game providing security and one of them fired his weapon but was not injured,” reported ABC News.
Choctaw Police Chief Kelly Marshall said officers responded to a report that a shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. at a football game. Police said those injured were taken to the hospital.
According to Marshall, "At least one of those shot was a student, but the ages of the victims and whether any of the others were students was not known at the outset of the investigation."
