Trump to Host Hispanic Heritage Month Reception, Highlighting Economic and Foreign Policy Gains

President Donald Trump will host a Hispanic Heritage Month reception at the White House on Wednesday, September 30, celebrating the contributions and enduring legacy of Hispanic Americans. The celebration will also highlight the Trump administration’s economic achievements benefiting Americans across the country, as well as its foreign policy agenda throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio shared the following statement with Voz Media ahead of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration:

"Americans of Hispanic descent have made extraordinary contributions to the fabric of our nation. As we mark Hispanic Heritage Month, we pay tribute to the legacy made by our fellow Americans of Hispanic descent in every realm of society.”

The reception will bring together Hispanic leaders, entrepreneurs, and guests to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month while highlighting the Trump administration’s record on issues affecting the community. A White House official provided Voz Media with details about the event, including the issues President Trump is expected to address.

Among the issues expected to take center stage is the administration’s economic agenda, including President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts Act, which delivered the biggest tax cuts in history to working- and middle-class families, including no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security, and no tax on car loan interest for American-made cars.

The event will also showcase achievements such as the Hispanic poverty rate falling to a historic low of 13.9% in 2025, while Hispanic homeownership reached a record 10.2 million owner-households, the largest annual increase in Hispanic homeownership since the U.S. Census Bureau began tracking the data.

The administration’s foreign policy across the Western Hemisphere will also be highlighted during the celebration, including its approach to Venezuela, Cuba and regional security.

Regarding President Trump’s agenda and how it has benefited Hispanic Americans, Secretary Rubio told Voz Media the following:

“Under the Trump Administration we are seeing the implementation of a foreign policy agenda that is once and for all prioritizing our region's safety and security. From the creation of the Shield of the Americas, to holding accountable Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and restoring an economic agenda that works for Hispanic Americans, we remain committed to working and winning for the American people."

The president is expected to highlight Operation Absolute Resolve, which resulted in the capture of Venezuelan dictator and indicted narco-terrorist Nicolás Maduro and his wife, opening a new chapter for the country. Following the operation, Venezuela is once again open for business. President Trump has also secured what the White House has described as the largest oil deal in world history with a private company, giving the United States majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of Venezuela’s proven oil reserves.

President Trump is also expected to highlight efforts to confront the threat posed by the Cuban communist regime, as well as sanctions imposed on Cuban state-run companies.

The White House official also told Voz Media that the administration will use the event to underscore the designation of several Latin American cartels and branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations, underscoring President Trump’s determination to confront threats to national security.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as well as Sean Duffy and Rachel Campos-Duffy, are expected to attend. President Trump will also recognize the achievements of two Hispanic American entrepreneurs: Alex Campos, CEO of Vensure Employer Solutions, and Gabriel Vitela, an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry.

For Hispanic Americans, the economy and security remain among the issues that matter most to their families and communities. Wednesday’s reception will give the White House an opportunity not only to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and the contributions of Hispanic Americans, but also to showcase the administration’s record on issues that directly affect their lives and future.
