DHS is investigating at least 1,620 cases of alleged election fraud

Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin stated that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is investigating 1,620 cases of alleged election fraud involving individuals who are not U.S. citizens and who allegedly cast votes in U.S. elections.

Mullin noted that DHS has made 151 arrests related to these investigations and is also reviewing an additional 300,000 cases.

During his remarks on Fox News, the secretary of homeland security stated that authorities continue to uncover cases that are related to election fraud.

"The president was right when he said there was a tremendous amount of fraud in the election. We continue to see that. Every single vote ... that we talk about that was at the hands of an illegal canceled out a citizen that was legally registered and able to vote."

Mullin linked these investigations to individuals who, according to DHS, allegedly participated in the electoral process without U.S. citizenship.

The official indicated that the investigations are ongoing as the department reviews additional cases identified by authorities.
