Customs and Border Protection announced it has launched a new app to replace the controversial CBP One app and to facilitate self-deportation for illegal immigrants.
It is the CBP Home public mobile app. The app has a new feature, Intent to Depart, which offers aliens who are in the country illegally or those whose parole has been revoked a voluntary, an orderly and defined process for notifying the U.S. government of their intent to leave the country.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said, "The CBP Home app gives aliens the option to leave now and self deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return."
"The Biden administration exploited the CBP One App to allow more than 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. With the launching of the CBP Home App, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system," she added.

According to the office, the new app was launched as a tool to comply with the president's Executive Order 14159.
"CBP Home App strengthens our mission to secure the U.S. border by ensuring lawful entry for travelers and supporting effective enforcement," said Pete Flores, acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection.

"The app provides illegal aliens in the United States with a straightforward way to declare their intent to voluntarily depart, offering them the chance to leave before facing harsher consequences. This reinforces our commitment to enforcing U.S. laws and safeguarding national security,” he added.
In addition, the app includes other functions such as requesting and paying for an I-94 up to seven days before arriving in the United States, requesting inspections for perishable cargo entering the United States, checking wait times at the border and filing a manifest for bus operators.
According to CBP, its “Home App is a free mobile application available for download by any individual on an Apple or Android device via Apple’s App Store and Google Play, as well from the CBP website.”
