Hunter Biden may be thinking about fleeing the United States if Donald Trump wins the elections in 2024, according to Politico magazine. A report explained how President Joe Biden is worried about his son's legal situation.

"Hunter Biden knows he is in the political crosshairs. In recent conversations with family friends, he has worried that he might have to flee the country if Trump were to be elected president again, according to two people who have spoken to him," reads the outlet's report, which cited several sources, on condition of anonymity, close to the Bidens.

"He has also worried about the intense scrutiny that his family would face during the 2024 campaign — and went public in recent days with his own concerns about the toll on his father," the outlet added.

Hunter, who faces several tax charges and heavy scrutiny from various House committees, is now at risk of entering into contempt of Congress and facing prison sentences for tax fraud.

On Wednesday, the president's son decided to avoid a subpoena from the Oversight Committee to testify about his foreign business dealings and his father's ties. Instead, he held a press conference where he victimized himself and accused Republicans of politically persecuting him to harm Joe Biden's re-election campaign.

Days ago, Hunter made similar assertions on the singer Moby's successful podcast, where he commented that Republicans were seeking to "kill him" to cause harm to Joe Biden.

"What you are trying to do is try to kill me, knowing that it will be a greater pain than my father could bear and therefore destroy a presidency in that way," Hunter Biden told the musician.

According to Politico, Hunter isn't the only one concerned about his legal situation. His father, Joe Biden, is in constant contact with his son, whom he sends messages or calls daily to see how he is doing, providing continuity to the legal processes and investigations that Hunter faces.
