Two months after making his candidacy for the 2024 presidential elections official, Joe Biden has not managed to change the opinion of Americans on whether his physical and mental conditions are fit to venture a second term. According to an NBC News poll, nearly seven in ten respondents (68%) do not see the president as fit to lead the United States for four more years.

This record was up 17 points from the last time NBC News polled - just a month before the last election - on his physical and mental state: in October 2020, 51% did not see him as fit to be president. Age is Joe Biden's main handicap, to which must be added the numerous lapses he has had in recent years that have generated a certain amount of alarmism about his situation. Only 20% support Joe Biden's actions and the way he is leading the country, while 6% chose not to answer the question.
