Patrick Wojahn, the Democratic mayor of College Park, Md., was sentenced this Monday to 30 years in prison for the more than 56 charges against him in relation to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
The mayor of College Park was arrested and charged in March of this year following a police investigation that placed him at the center of a child pornography distribution scheme. The Democrat, who left his position after being arrested, was close to several members of the Biden administration, according to Breitbart. Among them was Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
On Feb. 17, 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) that a social media account operating in the county possessed and distributed suspected child pornography. The images and videos had been uploaded to the social media account in January 2023. Through various investigations, PGPD investigators discovered that the social media account belonged to Wojahn.
