The country celebrates Thanksgiving Day. One of the best-known events to commemorate the tradition is the New York parade organized by the renowned department stores Macy's. This year was no exception: at the event there were 31 floats, 25 giant balloons and 7 musical groups to commemorate this date.
The company highlighted the importance of the collaboration of its partners for the event. "Each year, millions of spectators in NYC & viewers at home watch Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.® That’s why it’s so important that our corporate partners are up for the exciting task of bringing joy to Parade fans everywhere," Macy's highlighted.
The celebration kicked off this year with Grammy and Oscar winner Jon Batiste. Cher also participated in the event.
Although it is a parade dedicated mainly to children, it was also an opportunity to honor those who risk their lives for the safety of the city. That is why there was a float led by NYPD officers.
According to media outlets such as The Economic Times, organizers estimate that at least 3.5 million people participated in this year's parade.
