This is the man who crashed a truck near the White House and is portrayed by the media as a "white supremacist"
Several users on Twitter ridicule the attacker's alleged link to white supremacy.
This Tuesday, authorities reported that the man they arrested for ramming into the White House security barriers is Sai Varshith Kandula of Chesterfield, Missouri, a 19-year-old who allegedly had a Nazi flag on him at the time he crashed.
On Monday night, the Secret Service reported that , adjacent to the White House grounds. Authorities arrested a man at the scene and later reported that the preliminary investigation indicated that the driver intentionally crashed into the barriers.
Police did not elaborate on a possible motive, but several media outlets highlighted that one of the officers collecting evidence from the truck found a Nazi flag, which seemed to indicate that a "white supremacist" was involved. However, after the suspect's name and physical appearance came to light, many Twitter users reacted to the irony that the alleged "Nazi white supremacist" is not exactly white.
"It's quite ironic how the Left/the media paint so many dark-skinned people as 'white supremacists'," one of the users commented.
"A very tan white supremacist oddly named Sai Varshith Kandula slowly drove an empty U-Haul truck into barriers at the White House equipped with nothing more than a Nazi flag. Yeah aight. Y’all ain’t even trying anymore," wrote another social media user.
