Donald Trump asked people "not to joke" about Joe Biden's mental state after the president fell during the Air Force cadets' graduation ceremony. The candidate to represent the Republican Party in the 2024 elections stressed that, in fact, it is "a serious problem." Hours earlier, upon learning of the facts during a rally, Trump limited himself to saying "I hope he wasn't hurt".

Trump withstood Hannity's provocations

Despite Fox Town Hall host Sean Hannity repeatedly trying to bait Trump into lashing out at the current White House tenant, the former president declined to play along. "I've asked you repeatedly about what you think about Joe Biden's cognitive state. I've asked you about, is he up to the job physically, mentally? You have been very reluctant to go there. I'm not reluctant. To me -- would everyone agree with me this guy's cognitively not there? I doubt he knows what day of the week it is today. That's how bad I think it's gotten for him. Why are you reluctant to call that out?" the journalist insisted.

However, Trump made it clear he wouldn't go that way, even revealing that he had spoken to Hannity before the show to ask him not to joke about it. "Well, I don't know if I'm supposed to say this. I actually called Sean and asked him not to joke about it because he used to joke about it..." The host admitted that, "I was joking about it," and the former president settled the matter by stating:

I said, honestly I don’t think it looks good for you or for anybody to joke about it, because it’s a serious problem.
