JULY 4, 2023: ONE YEAR SINCE THE BIRTH OF VOZ MEDIA
We celebrate having kept our word to defend conservative values and be the reference for the Hispanic world during our first anniversary.
Voz Media is celebrating its first anniversary. A year of truthful reporting, presented in an unabashed manner. A year in which we have given you an account of events important to the advancement of the United States and others that generated a high level of concern for Americans, which we have sometimes witnessed on the ground.
It was no coincidence that our creation coincided with Independence Day. We were born with a purpose: to defend the principles, ideas, and values that have made the United States of America great. We strive to become a trusted reference for the growing Hispanic community, which holds an increasingly influential role in society each passing year.
Our inaugural event, the social presentation, took place on November 17, 2022, at Mercury Studios in Dallas. Both Orlando Salazar, the founding president and CEO of Voz Media, along with COO Pablo Kleinman, emphasized in their speeches the significance of having a media outlet that caters to the growing influence of the Hispanic community. The event was attended by personalities from the world of communication, politics and business, who were enthusiastic about the realization of this much-needed project.
Migration crisis, fentanyl
There is one issue that has aroused lively interest in U.S. society over the past year. An issue of transcendental importance: the immigration crisis, which has worsened significantly under the Biden Administration. Voz Media traveled to the border on several occasions - for example, when Title 42 was terminated - to give a first-hand account of what happened there.
An effect of the migration crisis, or rather a direct consequence of it, is the increase in crime and delinquency. Drug cartels and other particularly dangerous criminal groups have taken advantage of both the softness and inaction of the Biden Administration and the desperation of thousands of honest people seeking a better future for themselves and their families.
One of the main problems derived from criminality linked to illegal immigration mafias is drugs. And especially one in particular: fentanyl. Voz Media has placed special emphasis on denouncing drug trafficking and warning of the devastating effects of the consumption of this substance, which annihilates those who consume it and destroys entire communities in its wake.
The LGBT lobby and abortion
The overruling of the Roe vs. Wade. The confirmation that abortion is not a constitutionally protected right has been one of the major events of this first year of Voz Media, and has received extraordinary attention in our pages. The Supreme Court issued its historic ruling on June 24, 2022.
Another topic we have been keeping a close eye on and reporting on during this year has been everything related to the liberticidal excesses of the LGBT lobby. In Voz Media we have echoed especially the judicial and political war over sex change treatments for minors and its dramatic consequences.
The rise of the Hispanic community
As could not be otherwise, the Hispanic community has been one of our permanent concerns. Its growth continues year after year, as confirmed by the Census. And Spanish is a language that continues to gain speakers and prestige inside and outside the United States.
Nor have we forgotten about Latin America. We have covered elections in Colombia, Chile, Guatemala and the turbulent change of president in Peru, as well as unfortunate natural disasters and sporting successes such as Argentina's victory in the last World Cup.
Voz Media: 365 days of unstoppable ascent
Let's just say we have had an intense first year. Our maturity has been reflected in the unceasing increase of our audience across different channels and social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TikTok), totaling more than two million. We have a multichannel strategy that is reaping rewards.
This year we have acquired two important media outlets: Mega TV and The American. In February, Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) announced that it was selling Mega TV and certain associated assets to Voz Media, Inc. for US$64 million.
"It is an honor for Voz Media to be selected to continue the work and tradition started by Raul Alarcon and Mega TV in the Spanish-language television media market. We are serious about the challenge of moving Mega TV forward in both reach and content as we continue to serve Spanish speakers throughout the United States," said Voz Media Founder, President and CEO Orlando Salazar.
Two months later, we took another step forward with the acquisition of The American to achieve our main objective: to be the media of reference for the Hispanic community in the United States.
In our YouTube profile you can find the interviews we have been conducting during these first twelve months with personalities such as Eduardo Bolsonaro, Eduardo Verástegui or Agustín Laje.
In November 2022, we were sponsors of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2023, which was held in Mexico City and was a great success.
This first year is only the beginning of a journey that will hopefully last a long time. With your help, we hope to go far in defending the values that have made America great and continue to be a reference for the Hispanic community. God Bless America.
