The differences within the economic realm between the Biden administration and the Trump administration have already begun to become evident. The average price of a gallon of gasoline plummeted to $3.08 over the spring holiday period, despite the fact that this is a time of year when demand rises.
This figure implies that the average price for a gallon of gas dropped about $0.30: in August 2024, under the former president, it stood at $3.36.
It also saw a minimal decline from last week's average price, price per gallon was hovering around $3.10, according to an American Automobile Association (AAA) report.
Under $3 per gallon in 31 states
According to the association, in more than half of the country the price of gas is below $3 per gallon. Specifically, there are 31 states where this is the case.
The state where gas is cheapest is Mississippi ($2.64 per gallon), followed by Texas ($2.66), Kentucky ($2.68), Oklahoma ($2.71) and Louisiana ($2.72).
On the opposite side, California continues to be the state where gas is most expensive ($4.66 per gallon), ahead of Hawaii ($4.54), Washington ($4.08), Nevada ($3.74) and Oregon ($3.71).
