Biden promises that Israel will have the help it needs to defend itself against Hamas terrorists

The president of the United States spoke for the first time about the war unfolding in Israeli.

In the midst of severe criticism from Republican opposition, President Joe Biden had forceful words regarding the Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel. He assured that Israel will have the help necessary to defend itself from its enemies.

“I got up this morning, started this at 7:30, 8:00, my calls…Hamas terrorists crossing into Israel, killing not only Israeli soldiers, but Israeli civilians in the street in their homes. Innocent people murdered, wounded, entire families taken hostage by Hamas just days after Israel marked the holiest of days of the Jewish calendar,” Biden said during his remarks.

“It's unconscionable,” he said, in a blunt tone.

The president said Israel has the right to self-defense and that U.S. support remains “rock solid.”

“Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is not a moment for any party hostile to Israel to exploit these attacks, to seek advantage. The world is watching,” continued the president, questioned because weeks ago he approved millions in funds for Iran that were being held in South Korea.

Biden mentioned that the events were “a terrible tragedy on a human level.”

“It's hurting innocent people, seeing the lives that have been broken by this, the families torn apart. It's heartbreaking. Jill and I are praying for those families who've been impacted by this violence,” Biden said.

“We have hope for swift recovery for many of the wounded. We're going to remain in close touch with Prime Minister - I personally am going to remain in close contact with Prime Minister Netanyahu - as this situation continues to develop,m. … And let there be no mistake, the United States stands with the State of Israel,” the president stated.
