A Daily Caller News Foundation poll revealed that the majority of U.S. voters believe that schools should focus on "standard curriculum" subjects and spend less time teaching critical race theory (CRT).
According to the survey results, 62% of voters prefer that educational institutions focus on teaching traditional subjects like math, science and grammar.
In fact, 57% of respondents believe that CRT curriculum is causing more division among ethnic and racial groups at the youth level.
"Americans are realizing the truth about Critical Race Theory curriculum–it is designed to create division and stoke racial tensions," expressed Pastor John Amanchukwu Sr., faculty member at Summit Ministries.
Today I filed legislation to ban Critical Race Theory statewide. It’s not enough to just stop it in our schools, it should be prohibited at every level of government. People should be judged by their character, not by the color of their skin. pic.twitter.com/4eWvdgvjAM

According to a statement from the pastor, parents in school boards "across the country" are calling for greater engagement with reading, science, history and other subjects in the standard education curriculum.
"It’s time that education, not indoctrination, returns as the focus of every classroom in our nation," he said.
It is worth noting that the aforementioned poll surveyed a thousand American general election voters, of which 36% were registered Republicans, 36% were Democrats and 28% had a different political affiliation.
Anti-CRT bill
On Jan. 11, a group of Republicans from the House of Representatives introduced a bill spearheaded by Scott Fitzgerald, which seeks to have both elementary and high schools post their curricula directly on their websites so that parents are more aware of what their children are being taught.
I am proud to have signed an executive order prohibiting leftist indoctrination and CRT in the classroom.
We will not apologize for America or indoctrinate our kids with the lie that America is a racist and evil country.

"It’s clear bureaucrats and teachers’ unions have no reservations about putting divisive material such as critical race theory in front of our children that seeks to put people in groups based on skin color or gender," Fitzgerald said.
