Following the murder of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, numerous world leaders expressed both their condolences and their utter rejection of the political violence of which the young political commentator was a victim, who, in addition to being one of the leading young figures on the American right, was also an important ally of President Donald Trump.

One of the first leaders to speak out was the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, who on his X account posted a photo showing him alongside Kirk and former Republican representative for Florida, Matt Gaetz, with the message, "My condolences to the family of Charlie Kirk and to all the young people around the world who admired and listened to him. A formidable disseminator of the ideas of freedom and staunch defender of the West. He was the victim of a heinous assassination in the midst of a wave of leftist political violence throughout the region. The left is always at all times and in all places a violent phenomenon full of hatred. The whole world lost an incredible human being."

Likewise, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed words of condolences through his X account, in which he wrote: "Charlie Kirk was murdered for speaking truth and defending freedom. A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization. I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place. We lost an incredible human being. His boundless pride in America and his valiant belief in free speech will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace."

Similarly, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado expressed on her social network both her strongest rejection of what happened to Kirk and her condolences to the conservative activist's family. "My prayers and the prayers of millions of Venezuelans are with Charlie Kirk, his family, colleagues, and friends. His assassination is a monstrous act that must be repudiated by all citizens of the world. The pillar of a democratic society is the sacred right to freedom of expression and political pluralism. Our deepest condolences to the people of the United States. May God receive him in his Glory," he wrote.

Another important world leader who expressed her condemnations and condolences at the murder of the young conservative activist was Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who is known to be one of President Trump's main allies in Europe. "I am shocked by the news of the murder of Charlie Kirk, a young and followed Republican activist. A heinous murder, a deep wound to democracy and to those who believe in freedom. My condolences to his family, loved ones and the American conservative community," he wrote on his X account.

Just hours after the murder of the American political activist, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer shared his feelings on the social network X, demanding the necessary guarantees to speak about freedom without fear: "My thoughts this evening are with the loved ones of Charlie Kirk. It is heartbreaking that a young family has been robbed of a father and a husband. We must all be free to debate openly and freely without fear - there can be no justification for political violence.," Starmer wrote.

Who also expressed himself through his X account was Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who sent his condolences and explained that what Kirk suffered had no kind of justification. "I am appalled by the murder of Charlie Kirk. There is no justification for political violence and every act of it threatens democracy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones," Carney commented on his social network.

Another important figure who spoke out about Kirk's murder was the former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe, who published a statement through his X account, in which he said: "We condemn in the strongest terms the violent attack that took the life of Charlie Kirk. Our solidarity is with his family, Presidente Trump, and the American people. His death reminds us that freedom, democracy, and effective security must always prevail over violence."

Trump's message

After Kirk's death was confirmed after being shot during an event at the University of Utah, the most important figures in U.S. politics expressed their bewilderment through their social networks.

The most important was Trump, who commented through his Truth Social account: "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"
