U.S. Central Command and the Houthi rebels reported a new exchange of missiles in the Red Sea. The USS Gravely intercepted an missile launched from areas controlled by Iranian-backed terrorists in Yemen, who then attacked the U.S. ship itself with several rockets.
No injuries or damage
Central Command specified in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that after the first attack by the Houthis, "There were no injuries or damage reported."
Shortly after, the Houthi rebels announced that "the navy of the Yemeni Armed Forces, with the help of Almighty God, fired several ... naval missiles against the American destroyer USS Gravely in the Red Sea," according to AFP.
