Trump on cocaine in the White House: "Does anyone think it's for anyone's use other than Hunter & Joe Biden?"
The former president expressed his take on the issue on Truth Social and also took the opportunity to criticize the media.
Last Sunday, White House workers were performing a routine sweep when they suddenly found a suspicious white powder on the floor. According to the Secret Service, the situation led to a “preventive closure” of the building to investigate the mysterious substance's origin and matter. Once the test results came back, it was found to be cocaine.
It was reported that they are still looking for the “cause and how it entered the White House,” while Karine Jean-Pierre assured that the substance was found in a “very busy” area accessible to visitors.
Donald Trump’s reaction was not long in coming. Just hours after the situation was confirmed, the former president took to posting the following on Truth Social: “Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden?”
“But watch, the Fake News Media will soon start saying that the amount found was ‘very small,’ & it wasn’t really COCAINE, but rather common ground up Aspirin, & the story will vanish,” the former president added.
He also took the opportunity to attack Jack Smith, appointed by Merrick Garland to oversee the (DOJ) investigations of the presidential nominee. Ironically, he wondered if he had “been seen in the cocaine area” and then commented that he “looks like a crackhead to me.”
Smith is leading the investigation into the classified documents, which resulted in filing 37 federal and criminal charges against the former president. As for Trump’s judicial future, the Fulton County (Georgia) investigation and E. Jean Carroll’s defamation lawsuit are also up in the air.
