Hunter Biden filed a counterclaim Friday against John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the computer store where he dropped off his laptop for repair. The laptop’s information subsequently ended up in the possession of the New York Post.
The counterclaim sues John Paul Mac Isaac for disclosing private customer data. In principle, this is contrary to data protection laws. The lawsuit was filed in Delaware.
Fox News had access to the of the lawsuit. In early February, Hunter Biden's lawyers acknowledged for the first time that the laptop in question indeed belonged to their client.

According to Hunter Biden's suit, the computer technician worked with one of former President Donald Trump's personal lawyers, Rudy Giuliani, to manipulate the information contained on the laptop to incriminate Hunter Biden.

Amidst scandal, Twitter deleted and censored posts related to Hunter Biden's laptop. In February, those in charge of the social network apologized and claimed to have "made a mistake" by censoring the stories affecting President Biden's family.
Hunter Biden has been the subject of several accusations, especially for his often judged way of life. In recent investigations unveiled to the press, he was also linked to several businesses in China through which the Biden family has allegedly profited in recent years. It was learned this week that the Treasury Department would give congressional investigators access to Hunter Biden's bank records.
