The UN at its core: 14 condemnations of Israel in 2023, zero of Hamas
The Jewish State has more disapprovals from the organization than all other countries in the world combined.
The UN General Assembly condemned Israel 14 times during 2023. A figure that contrasts with the treatment received by regimes such as North Korea (once), Iran (once) or Syria (once). Furthermore, the terrorist organization Hamas has not been condemned even once this year, despite the massacre of October 7, nor were China, Pakistan or Myanmar.
Russia, with two, the second country with the most convictions in the General Assembly
According to a report by the organization UN Watch , after last Tuesday's three resolutions, the times that the UN reprimanded the Jewish State during 2023 amounted to 14. Double that of the rest of the world combined (7) during this time.
Most of the international organization's condemnations occurred during the December 19 session. On this day, resolutions were approved against the regimes of North Korea, Iran, Syria and Myanmar, and another on Russia's violations in Crimea. In the Russian case it is the second of the year, since the "Russian aggression in Ukraine" had already been condemned at the beginning of 2023. The US also has a condemnation from the General Assembly for its embargo on Cuba.
The UN "feeds anti-Semitic agitators"
According to Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, "the UN’s latest assault on Israel with a torrent of one-sided resolutions is surreal," and indicates its siding against the Jewish State. "The UN’s disproportionate assault against the Jewish state undermines the credibility of what is supposed to be an impartial international body. When the General Assembly gives in to politicization and selectivity by discriminating against Israel, it violates the UN Charter’s guarantee of equal treatment to all nations, large and small," he added.
