USMNT captain Tyler Adams signs for Bournemouth
The player inked a five-year contract with his new club.
Midfielder and captain of the U.S. men's national soccer team, Tyler Adams (24), has signed a five-year contract with Bournemouth. Adams will continue to play in the top flight of English soccer after a tough year with his previous club, Leeds United, which ended with relegation.
"Tyler is an exciting player who possesses plenty of experience for someone that is just 24 years of age and we’re looking forward to working with him as he’s a player we know will be a great addition to our squad," said Neill Blake, executive director of his new club.
Adams, who will wear the number 18, could debut next Saturday, Aug. 26, when his new squad faces Tottenham Hotspur. He will be the sixth American player to play for Bournemouth.
