Biden Administration is the "top problem" for citizens
Twenty-one percent of adults are most concerned about the government, followed by inflation (15%), immigration (11%) and the economy (10%).
The Biden Administration is the top problem facing the nation, according to a new Gallup poll. Only 41% of Americans approved President Joe Biden's job performance and 21% supported the work being done by Congress.
The poll revealed that 21% of adults view the government and its poor leadership as the country's main problem, followed by inflation (15%). In third place is immigration (11%) and fourth place the economy (10%):
Republicans, Democrats and Independents agree on almost everything
When broken down by political tendency, the government and its leadership were the main issue for members of both parties. Twenty-four percent of GOP supporters and Republican-leaning independents identified the current Administration as the country's biggest problem, and Democrats and independents agreed (18%).
Inflation and immigration tied for second place among Republicans and independents, with 18% each. The economy was the third most concerning issue for GOP supporters (11%).
Within the Democratic ranks, inflation also ranks second among the top problems (11%). In contrast, unlike Republicans, the economy and race relations are tied (9%) which-with a tie-would be the third most important issue facing the country for this group of voters.
Americans in general are concerned about the nation's current economic conditions. Only 2% described the current conditions as "excellent," while 15% said they were "good." Forty-five percent said they were "poor" and 38% described them as "fair.” Despite this data, 64% of adults said it was a good time to find a quality job in the country.
